Our Approach
We have developed a methodology to ensure that our teams are focussed on the right solutions and that projects are delivered on-time. Where appropriate, documentation such as Business Cases, Change Control, Project Initiation Documents, Risk and Issue Registers are created.

The key elements of our methodology are:

  • Thorough Planning: As a first step, we always undertake project planning with the client. This enables all parties to have visibility of the resources needed, the activities to be undertaken and the deliverables which need to be delivered when. Clients are provided with a project plan including timescales at the beginning of the project.
  • Identify the Objectives and Scope: We ensure that the objectives and scope of the project have been identified. Ongoing monitoring and control of scope is critical.
  • Clearly Define the Business Needs: Any solutions must be appropriate for your business needs and objectives. We ensure we really understand the requirements and think carefully about possible solutions.
  • Ensure Active User Involvement: Experience demonstrates that full user involvement is critical to the success of any project. We therefore favour a highly participative approach involving users early on to ensure their commitment.
  • Continuous Communication is Essential: We provide regular weekly updates to senior management to keep the client informed of progress and of any issues. We aim to hold regular progress meetings with key players in the user community to ensure that the solution fits the business needs. Where possible, we keep the user community informed through briefings and workshops.
  • A phased approach to development and implementation: By breaking the project into smaller iterations and clearly defining deliverables, we aim to ensure that the project can be tightly controlled and risks minimised.
  • Monitoring risks and issues: We set up project controls such as risk and issue registers and proactively manage risks and issues.
