When I discovered my passion in developing great leaders for the future, I learned that my guiding principle is 'The Gift'.

Through the gift of my time, attention and talent, I am making a difference in the lives of leaders and their followers.

Early in my career, I realized that quality leadership has a greater impact than what I had previously thought. In the first 5 years as a young professional, I was overlooked, big time. 

The first mistake I made was to 'wait to be developed' by my manager. By the time I realized it, 5 years had passed.

I found ways to grow professionally, but it was sporadic and haphazard. Through the journey, I was somehow noticed by the right people.

Shortly after, I was promoted, and then I suffered my first setback as a leader. 

It was devastating.

Somehow I managed to pick myself up from that traumatic episode.

Here are two valuable leadership lessons I learned:

  • To be a great leader, start by leading yourself. 

  • Your responsibility as a leader is to the people who follow you. 

Perhaps it was a message from the universe. I threw myself fervently into personal development.

Little by little, my personal mastery improved. Awareness of my values, emotional regulation, executive presence, ability to empathize and connect with people at every level, all improved over time.

Through this early failure in life, I became fully committed to developing leadership in myself and others.

I deeply believe that everyone deserves to work with great leaders and I want to raise the quality of leader in all organizations at every level.  When we have more good leaders, we will also see positive impact on families, communities, government and ultimately nations.

My business and global reach is enabled by today's technology advancements. Years before online coaching became a norm, I had already started doing it. 

I also describe myself as a GLOCAL person - both global and local at the same time.
